The 6-Step Setup Process

Step-by-step workflow required before logging trades and unlocking strategy metrics

Step 1 (Prerequisite)Simulate Multiple Accounts

1. Create Trading Account(s)

Set up your simulated live, demo, or prop firm challenge accounts.

Go to Accounts

In Pinnacle Track, every trade is linked to an account. If you trade across multiple platforms—such as a personal live brokerage account, an evaluation prop challenge (FTMO, MFF, FundedNext), or a risk-free demo account—you can simulate and track each of them separately.

Why simulate accounts?

Prevents mixing high-risk challenge trades with personal long-term positions. Each account calculates its own sample size, win rate, and total balance.

How to create:

Navigate to Accounts, click "New Trading Account", enter an account label like "Live IC Markets" or "Prop 100k", and save.

Example Simulation
Live Personal$25,400.00
FTMO 100k Demo$103,200.00
Tip: Set your main active account as Default.
Step 2 (Prerequisite)Trading Pairs & Instruments

2. Add Your Trading Assets & Pairs

Specify the forex pairs, crypto coins, stocks, or indices you actively execute.

Go to Assets

Assets are the instruments you trade. Logging a trade requires selecting an asset so Pinnacle Track can track asset-specific win rates, contract multipliers, and profit margins.

Asset Symbol

e.g. EUR/USD, GBP/JPY, BTC/USD, or US30.

Multiplier

100,000 for standard forex, 1 for crypto/indices.

Currencies

Base currency (e.g. EUR) and Quote currency (USD).

Pair Configuration Tip

Define your primary watchlist pairs (e.g., EUR/USD, GBP/USD, XAU/USD). Once added, they will appear in the trade logging dropdown automatically.

Multiplier for Forex: 100,000 | Crypto: 1
Step 3 (Prerequisite)Trading Edge & Rules

3. Define Your Trading Strategies

Once strategy is set, you are ready to log trades with mathematical tracking.

Go to Strategies

A profitable trader doesn't just "trade"—they execute defined models with consistent rules. In Pinnacle Track, create your strategies (e.g. "Asian Range Liquidity Sweep", "London Breakout", "Daily Supply & Demand").

Entry Rules

Document technical signals required before entering (e.g. 15-min sweep + 5-min market structure shift).

Exit Rules

Specify take-profit zones, opposing liquidity pools, or trailing stop loss mechanisms.

Risk Mgmt

Set maximum risk percentage per trade (e.g. 0.5%–1%) and maximum daily drawdown limit.

Why It Matters

By tying every trade to a strategy, Pinnacle Track automatically computes the win rate %, total profit, loss rate %, and sample size of each strategy. You will know exactly which setup is paying you!

Step 4 (Execution)Journaling & Psychology

4. Log Trades with Full Details

Capture entry price, exit price, stop loss, take profit, emotional state, and chart markups.

Log a Trade

With your Account, Asset, and Strategy in place, logging a trade takes less than 60 seconds! Record both the technical numbers and your mental state during the trade.

Execution Fields

  • Account, Asset, and Strategy
  • Direction: Buy (Long) or Sell (Short)
  • Entry & Exit Prices
  • Stop Loss & Take Profit
  • Lot Size / Quantity
  • Open Time & Closed Time

Psychology & Screenshots

  • Emotional state (Disciplined, FOMO, Greedy, Hesitant)
  • Execution notes & trade thesis
  • Before execution chart image
  • After closure chart image
Pro Journaling Habit

Logging charts before entering and after exiting gives you undeniable visual evidence of whether you followed your strategy rules or traded on impulse.

Review your Trade History under "/app/trades-history" anytime.
Step 5 (Preparation)Pre-Market Execution Plan

5. Watchlist & Trade Planning

Anticipate the market before it moves. Mark POIs and plan entries with discipline.

Open Watchlist

The difference between gambling and trading is preparation. Use the Watchlist & Plan module during your pre-market session to mark high-probability Points of Interest (POI) and set execution parameters before price gets there.

1. Pick Asset

Select the pair on your radar.

2. Entry POI Zone

Define target price zone (e.g. 1.0850–1.0870).

3. Invalidation SL

Know exactly where the plan is invalidated.

Discipline Rule

"Plan your trade, and trade your plan." Waiting for price to tap your planned POI prevents chasing green candles or entering midway through consolidations.

Step 6 (Analysis)Discover Your Statistical Edge

6. Analyze Strategy Performance & Dashboard

Inspect win rates per strategy, equity growth curves, and filter by account.

View Dashboard

The power of Pinnacle Track is in its performance clarity. Instead of guessing how well a setup works, inspect hard mathematical data across sample sizes.

Per-Strategy Insights

Click "View Details" on any strategy in My Strategies to see its exact Net P/L, Win Rate %, Loss Rate %, captured R:R, and a dedicated log of all trades executed using that setup.

Dashboard Equity Curve

On the Overview Dashboard, watch your equity curve chart, total profit, and win rate. Filter by specific account or toggle between 30-day and 90-day timeframes.
